This article examines the work of Jack Kerouac, particularly On the Road, as a manifestation of the quest for meaning through travel. By exploring the experiences of the characters, the author highlights the relationship between writing and identity while emphasizing the significance of the ephemeral in the human condition. Writing becomes an act of resistance and a form of existential reflection, where each journey illustrates the tension between the need for belonging and the desire for escape. The article also analyzes how Kerouac, through his distinctive style, imparts an existential function to writing, allowing for an inquiry into the nature of human experience.
Cet article examine l'œuvre de Jack Kerouac, en particulier On the Road, en tant que manifestation de la quête de sens à travers le voyage. En explorant les expériences des personnages, l'auteur met en lumière le rapport entre l'écriture et l'identité, tout en soulignant l'importance de l'éphémère dans la condition humaine. L'écriture devient un acte de résistance et une forme de réflexion existentielle, où chaque voyage illustre la tension entre le besoin d'appartenance et le désir d'évasion. L'article analyse également comment Kerouac, grâce à son style distinctif, confère une fonction existentielle à l'écriture, permettant d'interroger la nature de l'expérience humaine.
